See what people are saying about the experience...

"If anyone wants to advance as a human and share that with others, A Course in Mindful Living Teacher Training may be for you 💕. I just have to share that I have grown so much; my meditation and mindfulness journey evolved so much that I can say I am a totally new person! I took strength and courage from ACIML training and turned it into a new business! I am now officially a daycare owner - something

I’ve wanted to do for years but never had the guts to take the leap. This is my first week in operation and I have been challenged in so many ways. But my training has prepared me for this!

Thanks to Elisha and Susan for an incredible journey! 💕 And thank you to my cohort!"

- Michelle Caines

"I just wanted to send a personal thank you for the artfulness of the approach to mindful living that I have learned in this ACIML professional teacher training.

You have created a powerful layering that, as I teach it and see it come to life in myself and in my participants, makes more and more sense. It is somehow magic, and art, and science and fun all at once!

Incredibly grateful..."

-Andrea Weid

"Hello, my name is Tannes, and my background is in trauma therapy. I have worked with survivors of intimate partner violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, and stalking.

I was excited when I learned Elisha was beginning a teacher certification program based on ACIML. When I took the course as a student it was extremely beneficial in deepening my meditation practice. I choose to apply to the ACIML PRO program to obtain certification and to learn how to effectively teach others these life-changing concepts.

All the topics are very helpful. But if I must choose, the topics of self-compassion and lovingkindness were helpful personally because it reinforces the need for non-judgment and curiosity. Living a mindful life must be filled with curiosity, play, and non-judgment.

Something I was not expecting was being able to connect with others in the program on a deeper level. I made connections that will last beyond this program. You learn so much, but the best thing is seeing how that same topic can be taught from a different perspective. Those are the most tangible benefits for me – connection and the beauty of seeing different perspectives.

My words of advice: If you are thinking about applying for the ACIML PRO Training – taking that 1st step is the hardest but once you take that step don’t look back because this is the next chapter of your mindfulness journey."

- Tannes

"I chose to sign up for ACIML PRO for a few reasons.

First, this came at a time when I felt that I needed to spend more time on my meditation and mindfulness practice. It was the middle of COVID and I needed some focus at working towards more ease in my life. I was also drawn to this course because I am a therapist and knew that the skills gained would also help me professionally. As I look back on the last 9 months, my intuitions were right! The lessons, classes, and meditations gave me the reboot I needed. In addition, I have found more confidence when working with clients because I have been able to provide them with material that is useful and relevant.

Elisha and Susan provide a helpful, inviting, and safe place to experiment, play and make mistakes. This environment was beneficial in all aspects of the course, but especially during our teaching practicum. They aren’t expecting perfection, just giving it your best and learning from mistakes. The practicum was especially challenging for me. It was definitely an experience that pushed me outside of my comfort zone, but I am so glad that this was part of the curriculum. Without this as a component, it would have been much harder to force myself to take those first steps of creating a class to teach and actually teach it!

If you are looking for a class that would compliment and be applicable to most areas of your life, this is it! It was a great investment for my personal and professional self. It has helped me to become curious, pause, increase my awareness, reignite my meditation practice and to be more nourishing and compassionate to myself. I would recommend ACIML PRO to anyone."

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know it's for me?

The main requirement is that you have a deep desire to learn the Course in Mindful Living concepts and practices and to share them with others. If you have a mission to help humanity and are ready to have an instrumental role in helping people lead deeper, more fulfilling lives, then we encourage you to apply to the ACIML Teacher Training Program.

Who can fill out my letter of recommendation?

What's most important here is this is a person who can speak to your readiness to take a training program like this. This can be a mentor, teacher, colleague, or some other professional connection you had. We ask that you do not have a family member submit a letter of recommendation on your behalf. If you have any confusion about this, we are happy to talk to you about it to clarify it.

What is the time commitment?

Before applying to the program, applicants should carefully and realistically assess their time availability. It is estimated that it will take approximately 8 - 10 hours per week for the online modules and daily meditation practices.

In addition, there are three 90-minute calls monthly, two of which need to be attended live. There is a strict attendance policy. However, you are able to miss up to 3 live calls total over the 9-month period and still meet the graduation requirements.

In months 7 - 9, you will complete a required supervised practicum, which includes live or online teaching, recorded audio/video submissions of your teaching, student roster (names and email addresses), student evaluations, and a written reflection paper.

The final requirement is passing an exam that integrates all of the key concepts and meditations learned throughout the training.

What is the monthly format?

Monthly Schedule:

Week 1: Experience the recorded modules that contain the ACIML Teachings and Practices

Week 2: 90-Minute Live Training with Dr. Elisha Goldstein

Week 3: Small Cohort Sessions with Susan Beckman Reagan

Week 4: Professional Development Sessions with Susan Beckman Reagan

45-Minute Individual Mentorship Calls and Office Hours by appointment throughout the program!

What will I need to do each month?

In addition to the monthly call format described above, there are required readings, monthly videos to watch, specific meditations to practice, creative curriculum development projects, and written assignments. The culmination of this training is a required supervised practicum, which includes live or online teaching, recorded audio/video submissions of your teaching, student evaluations, and a written exit summary.

Details of this component of the program will be supplied with the course materials.

Please note: the mentorship part of the program is very interactive, creative, and requires active participation in order to fully embody this work. You will be working closely with your mentor and peers, requiring collaboration, flexibility, and an open mind. This hands-on, experiential learning offers a unique opportunity for personal growth and development not found in other programs. It honors the many different learning styles and asks you to consider how you might incorporate these ideas into your program when you begin to teach ACIML.

Intention:

The intent of the ACIML Teacher Certification Program is to prepare you with the well-rounded expertise needed to teach ACIML concepts and lead the specific meditations taught in this course. During this 9-month training program, you will learn the tools, gain the experience, and receive the guidance necessary to teach a full 6-month ACIML program or to offer the modules as individual workshops. A Course in Mindful Living Teacher Training is a special opportunity offered just once a year. We hope you will join us this Jan 2023.

What's next?

If you meet the requirements, are able to fully participate in the schedule outlined above, and are dedicated to mindful living and helping others explore the vast potential that lives inside, then please apply to this invaluable program. We look forward to reading your application! Spaces are limited to 50 students.
